An early 20th century, tall and elegant lidded jug or pitcher from the collectable German manufacturer. Second-hand.

What's for sale?

This is a copper and brass wine jug or pitcher with lid. It was made in the early 20th century by the famous German manufacturer WMF.

Who made it and when?

It was made by the German metal ware manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik). On the base is the maker's mark, a rhombus with a running ostrich, which dates this example to around 1925 to 1930. This shape and pattern were manufactured from around 1910 onwards.
