Royal Albert Crown China Trio

A 1920s, Imari style, bone china trio of teacup, saucer and plate by the famous Staffordshire pottery. Second-hand.

What's for sale?

This is an elegant, bone china trio of teacup, saucer and plate by Royal Albert China of Longton, Stoke-On-Trent in Staffordshire.

It's decorated in an unnamed, Imari-style design which was introduced during the 1920s. It's an attractive, narrow pattern of alternating panels, which circle the rim. It's finished by gold-coloured borders and highlights on the handle, base of the cup and at the centre of the plate and saucer.

The maker's mark also dates it between 1917 and 1935 and reads:

  • royal albert
  • crown china
  • England

We like putting together non-identical, trios to make up a tea set. It's more interesting than having a completely matching tea service and you can always swap pieces in and out when you find something new that you like.

What condition is it in?

  • Second-hand
  • Very good condition
  • No chips or cracks

What are the measurements?

  • The cup is 6.5cm high and 10.5cm diameter (about 2.5 and 4 inches)
  • The saucer is 2cm high and 14cm diameter (about 0.75 and 5.5 inches)
  • The plate is 1.5cm high and 17.5cm diameter  (about 0.75 and 7 inches)
  • 428 grams in total
