What's for sale?

This is a ceramic sugar caster or shaker with chrome top and a highly decorative, green and gold-coloured pattern.

It was made by the Staffordshire pottery manufacturer Midwinter. It's decorated in their green and gold "Brama" pattern.

Who made it and when?

It was made by Staffordshire manufacturer W R Midwinter Ltd.

The maker's mark dates it between 1946 and 1953 and reads:

  • England
  • Staffordshire
  • Semi-Porcelain

What condition is it in?

  • Second-hand
  • In good condition
  • No chips or cracks to the body
  • There some corrosion on the chrome neck, as shown

What are the measurements?

  • 242 grams
