Lawleys Norfolk Pottery Teacup, Saucer & Plate Trio

A bone china trio of teacup, saucer and plate by Lawleys Norfolk Pottery. Second-hand.

What's for sale?

This is an attractive, bone china trio of teacup, saucer and plate, made by Lawleys Pottery from Stoke.

It's decorated with an oriental pattern in blue and red over white, with gold highlights to the rim and handle.

All three pieces have a very traditional shape.

We think this is a nice pattern: the colours are light and the design is interesting without being too busy. The number on the base of the teacup, 6941, may be the pattern number.

We like using non-identical, but similar trios to make up a tea set. They're interesting to use, nice to display and you can always change what's in the "set".

Who made it and when?

It was made by Lawleys of Stoke on Trent after 1935.  All three pieces are marked:

  • Lawleys

What condition is it in?

  • Second-hand
  • In very good condition
  • No chips or cracks
  • There is wear to the gold on the rims
