What's for sale?

This is a set of six, medium-sized, lead crystal wine glasses from the early 20th century.

Decoration is a series of finely-cut patterns, separated by three horizontal lines. The first features ten horizontally-inclined, oval slice cuts. Then comes a wide band of tight, cross-hatched line cuts. Finally, around the bottom of the bowl, are twelve vertical thumb cuts.

They have a flared rim, a double baluster stem, and on the foot is a radiating pattern of long cuts.

There is a slight variation in size, so they are probably hand made. They feel sturdy and quite heavy in the hand, and the glass is clear and bright.

What condition are they in?

  • Second-hand
  • In very good condition
  • No chips or cracks
  • Two glasses have a small air bubble in the rim
  • One glass has several smaller air bubbles in the rim

  • 8 cm (3 inches) bowl height
  • 6 cm (2.25 inches) internal bowl height
  • 8 cm (3 inches) diameter at the rim
  • 7 cm (2.75 inches) diameter foot
