What's for sale?
This is a well made, stoneware teapot by ceramicist David Mildenhall.
It has a rustic look and low-sheen finish, with brown flecks over a pale green glaze. It has a kettle shape of flat bottom and wide base, a flared spout, sunken lid and cane handle.
The body has been nicely decorated with ridges and rings, many highlighted with the brown glaze.
The lid fits perfectly and stays in place even when tilted at 90 degrees.
The artists mark david mildenhall is impressed upon the base.
