What's for sale?
This is a pretty, signed choker necklace of yellow flowers, made by the American costume jeweller Coro.
The flowers and chain are made from a polished, gold-coloured metal, the champlevé petals have been filled with yellow enamel and the extender chain is decorated with yellow plastic beads. The shepherd's hook fastener allows the length to be set as desired.
Champlevé (raised field) is the technique which creates enamel-filled sections with raised borders.
It's bright, colourful and has us thinking of spring and summer. It's also a good choice for bridal or wedding jewellery.
The fastener is inscribed Coro ©, which dates it after 1955.
