What's for sale?
This is an attractive, signed necklace of pale panels, resembling corals, fronds or feathers. It was made by Coro for their Jewelcraft range in gold tone metal.
It's a choker necklace in length, although with the shepherd's hook fastener, the length can be adjusted slightly.
Jewelcraft was one of the brand names used by the major American costume jewellery maker Coro. Although the name was in use in America from the 1920s, it was more significantly the name used by Coro for pieces produced in Britain from the late 1940s. The British jewellery maker Ciro had successfully prevented the use of Coro. Coro also used the name Corocraft for the same reason.
Many Jewelcraft pieces are not signed by name but use a signature pinecone tag instead, as this does.
