What's for sale?
This is a pretty choker necklace by Coro Jewelcraft, set with a multitude of coloured, Swarovski crystals known as Aurora Borealis.
The main panel comprises ten articulated sections of gold-coloured leaves, each with eight crystals. It's completed by an extender chain and shepherd's hook fastener, allowing the length to be altered to suit.
It's an elegant necklace which shines and catches the light beautifully. It's also a nice choice for bridal or wedding jewellery.
Who made it and when?
It was made by Jewelcraft, the UK arm of the American costume jewellery company Coro, probably in the 1950s or 1960s. One end of the chain has the trademark Jewelcraft pine cone.
