What's for sale?
This is a large, handmade, stoneware teapot with a warm, rustic feel. It holds nearly 2.5 pints (1.4 litres).
It's well made, with a lot of care and attention to detail. The body has been inscribed with a tactile, banded decoration, the handle has a thumb rest and there's a smaller, loop handle above the spout,
The colours and texture in the glaze are another attractive feature. The lid and handle are a mix of light and dark browns, while the body is a lovely blueish-green. There's just the right amount of sheen.
The potter's mark "JE" is impressed at the base of the handle.
